I love my job

Yes well, slightly optomisitic title, but I want to prove (to myself even) that i don't hate it!!

PRO'S
- Having something to do with my day!
- The challenge
- Learning something new everyday
- Literally being able to write a new facebook status for every 5 minutes of the school day.
- The corkers pupils come out with - "Well I've got an abdominal migraine!"(sorry, a what?!!) was todays.
- The SfL (support for learning - my base) staff banter; including drinking wine at 1pm on a friday afternoon - I think Liz had had a bad day(!).
- Having kids say hello to you in the morning/in the corridor.
- Alan's face
- Having kids asking you "are you in CDT with us next?!" and then being happy about it when you say yes.
- Gopi and his ridiculous notion that i will be rowing in the 2012 olympics (after a long debate about whether rowing was a sport or not - blatently is!)
- the eye-liner comparisons me and Enya have in Physics.
- Steven being able to now spell "amplifiers", "circuits" and that maybe he has finally learnt that using a ruler produces straighter lines! Yeees...!
- "singing" with Sarah.
- The fact that Daniel has started saying words at me now as opposed to weird noises (and FYI there is NOTHING wrong with his speech!)
- The joy of giving out detentions (you know you'd love it) and then thinking up horrible but funny (for you) things for them to do like copying out the dictionary starting from A - boring!
- Ryan.

- Holidays
- (selfishly?!) knowing you are needed.

CON'S
- The Pay
- The early mornings.
- The hot water - makes tea horrendous which has lead to...
- My reemerging coffee addiction
- Knowing of the depressing background many kids come from and not being able to do anything about it.
- The lack of ambition/drive SO many pupils have.
- The Rudeness/behaviour/being treated like crap by 12 year olds.
