50 things to do before leaving durham

Yesterday at lunch we were sitting outside on the decking part of the DSU cafe and talking about the things we wanted to do before leaving durham - sitting on the decking of the DSU was one of them, hence the conversation! I don't know if i can quite manage fifty, and i've already done about three of the things on my list, but i thought i might at least try - might come up with some interesting results! Some things are really silly, others are more serious. So in no particular order, here are my 50 things to do before leaving durham:


1. Sit on the decking of the DSU cafe - x
2. Go to someone elses lecutre ( of a diff. subject) - x
3. Go to a lecture in my pyjamas - I've been to the library, does that count? - x
4. Live in a house - x
5. Swim in the River Wear
6. Go on the Prince Bish
7. Experience Klute
8. Go to Loveshack
9. Drink a 'flaming sambuca'
10. Eat at the Georgian Pancake house
11. Row in a proper race
12. Go boating in a brown's boat
13. Go to all the college bars in one night - just hild bede and butler left to go now!
14. Play/sing in the catherdral - x
15.Swoop around the catherdral cloisters in my robe like Harry Potter - x
16. Eat Cake in Vennels - x
17. Go to the swan and three in the morning after an exam x - 1st June 2007, bring it on!
18. Walk all the way to Tesco's from my house
19. Climb a hill and watch the Sunrise
20. Do a pub quiz at the local
21. Use up all the food left over from "Ready Steady Cook" week and make something edible (trust me it could be a challenge!!) x i think someone else did this!
22. Invite the man next door around for coffee
23. Have a decent conversation about my faith, God the universe etc with one of my course friends (I wont say who but there is someone in particular)
24. Go to Stockton on the bus and visit the campus down there
25. Have a picnic in the Botanic Gardens and play frisby!!
26. Finish knitting my jumper
27. Take part in a musical x
28. Do an all-nighter - x
29. Dye my hair a different colour - x
30. Go to Newcastle for a day
31. Visit and not get lost in Trevs (I'm intruiged, ok, it just looks like such a complicated building!)
32. Cook a Roast - x
33. GRADUATE!!!
34. Drink Pimms x
35. Visit Beamish open air museam
36. Find out where the steps that come out at topshop start (somewhere near the castle...??)
37. De-Novice (altho this is highly unlikely!)
38. Get a 1st in an essay
39. Run around the track at Maiden Castle
40. Sing with one of those random buskers on the street
